A beautiful vintage French carving set, found at a flea market in Paris.

Made by Société Française d’Alliage des Métaux, the set includes a carving knife with stainless steel blade and matching three-pronged fork, both with elegant fluted silver-plated handles.

Presented in its original fitted, satin-lined case, stamped Morinière, Orfèvre, Saint-Nazaire — the French silverware retailer who originally sold the set.

Dating from around the mid-20th century, it is a lovely example of everyday French tableware designed to be used, cared for and kept.
