Side by Side started back in 2002, when designer Sabine Meyer teamed up with the Caritas Wendelstein workshops and a handful of Munich studios and makers. The idea was simple — everyday objects, made properly, by people working side by side, disabled and non-disabled alike, no separation between them.

We love them because it shows in the work. Every board, trivet and bookmark has that quiet, unhurried care that comes from people who actually enjoy making things together — and honestly, that's exactly the kind of thing we want to fill this shop with.
