This Covered Vintage Kantha Quilt Organiser is crafted from repurposed vintage Kantha quilts, each one a unique expression of traditional craftsmanship.

Originating in eastern India, Kantha is a centuries-old handcraft technique that involves layering worn saris, waist cloths, and fabric remnants, then stitching them together with intricate, hand-sewn embroidery. Originally made for home use as bedding or floor coverings—not for commercial sale—each Kantha quilt is truly one of a kind.

Made from multiple layers of lightweight fabric, the material gains character over time. As the top layers naturally wear down with use, the underlying fabrics emerge, revealing rich, unexpected gradations of colour and pattern.

NOTE: 

Due to the use of reclaimed materials, fabric composition is unknown and may show signs of wear such as stains, patches, or fraying. To clean, gently wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth and the inside with a towel. Dry thoroughly before use. Vinyl may degrade over time—keep away from heat sources and open flames. Colours and patterns are assorted and cannot be selected.
